Teresa Amma has been with us for about two weeks now. She is providing the traditional Kerala baby massage and bath for the little one. It is an elaborate tradition here, however we follow a simple basic daily routine. She does not know Hindi or English, we do not know Malayalam. Conversation happens in sign languages and Google translate. Yet, there is a higher universal language - music. In mornings my mother usually puts on Kashmiri songs and bhajans on YouTube while she works the kitchen. Yesterday, while one of the Kashmiri bhajan was playing, Teresa Amma caught a familair beat and started dancing Thiruvathira, one of the traditional Onam dance of Kerala.
